Hi friends,

I know a lot of us are carrying a lot right now. I hope you're finding ways to take care of yourself and the people around you. Music is one of my ways, and I'd love to see you this month if you’re in Central Texas.

Saturday, Nov 14, Doors at 6pm | Soundspace at Quack's

My first full-band show in two years plus the release of my new single!

For the first time in two years, my band is playing a full-band show. Doors at 6, show at 7, at Soundspace at Quack's on Menchaca, with plenty of parking. We're celebrating my new single and Ginger Leigh's birthday all in one night. We have a great set planned, with so many groovy tunes, that swampy soul we brought to Chuck Fest last month, and the new single itself.

"Same Old Story Different Man" comes out Friday, November 13, the day before the show. More next week on this tune. It rocks.

Tickets are $20:

Sunday, Nov 8, 11am to 5pm | Austin Woman's Thrive and the Wavemakers YouTube Channel launch at Inn Cahoots

An invitation to fill your cup!

I'm not sure about you, but as much as I love my work, being a mom, and having so much music in my life, I often find myself overfunctioning and wishing for eight more hours in a day or a few days to disappear and rest. Time to read and write and walk in nature or stretch. Some weeks I get more restorative time than others, and I know we all restore differently. I fill up with human connection: people, love, my tribe, conversation, reading, music, nature, and yoga.

That is why I'm so happy about Austin Woman's 3rd Annual Thrive and the Wavemakers YouTube Channel launch at Inn Cahoots in Austin, 11am to 3pm. Ladies, this one is an invitation to fill your cup: a day to learn, move, sip, and connect with amazing women, with yoga, FlyDance Fitness, and a mixology demo and toast with my dear friend, Cristin "Moxy" Castro of Ritual. I'm moderating the longevity panel with Debi Finn of Coro Health and AnnMarie Kocher of HUMANN.

At 3pm, our work at Wavemakers Women + Music reaches a big moment. We launch the Wavemakers YouTube Channel, the first channel dedicated exclusively to the music of women 40+. Chantel Deniese performs live, DJ Raquiqui spins an hour of Wavemaking jams, and I'm hosting. Stoked for this!

Sunday, Dec 6, Doors at 2 | Music Marketing Made Human

A workshop for musicians at Austin Band Camp

This one is a different side of my work, and I'm excited about it. At Austin Band Camp, in the living room at Sessions On Mary, I'm leading a hands-on afternoon for musicians on finding the words for their music and where their listeners already gather. You'll try them out in a friendly room of fellow musicians. Doors at 2, we start at 2:30, with drinks and light snacks. Only 15 spots, and 3 are already gone. $50:
